A group show Time Will Tell was held in the grounds of Croft Castle, Shropshire, England. Croft is a stately home located near an ancient iron-age ring fort where geological excavation proved residue of the ocean floor.

Everest Shark came into being for this show. A bronze shark, with rust-coloured patination lay on the floor of an old family church in the grounds of Croft Castle. In place of its dorsal fin, a perfect replica of Mount Everest rose from a mountainous ridge. The first shark appeared 420 million years ago in the Ordovician Period before plants had colonized land. Mount Everest rose to be the highest mountain peak on our planet merely 60 million years ago.

Everest Shark was cast in bronze from the body of a blue shark that was left in a freezer in Northern Ireland after the ban on selling shark meat came about. Everest Shark refers to time and our human-history in relationship to natural-history.
